FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

01.

How do I book a session?

Start by filling out the contact form and telling me a little about yourself, the type of session you’re interested in, and what you’re envisioning. Once we choose a date and session experience, your booking will be secured after your contract is signed and the required retainer is received.

02.

Where are you located? Do you travel?

Absolutely! Wild & Wanderlust Photography may have roots close to home, but the adventure doesn’t stop at one state line.

I’m available for sessions throughout Kentucky and beyond. Whether you’re dreaming of mountain views, a waterfall, the coast, a national park, or somewhere meaningful to you, I’d love to hear where you want to wander.

Travel fees may apply depending on the location.

03.

How do we choose a location?

You don’t have to have the perfect location figured out before reaching out.

I’ll help you choose a setting based on the scenery you love, the time of year, accessibility, lighting, and the overall feel you want for your photographs.

Mountains, forests, waterfalls, lakes, fields, downtown streets, beaches and scenic overlooks are all fair game.

The setting should be part of your story.

04.

What should we wear?

Once your session is booked, I’ll help with outfit recommendations based on your location, season, and overall vision.

In general, I recommend coordinating rather than matching. Neutral and earthy colors, textures, layers, and subtle patterns tend to photograph beautifully in natural settings.

Most importantly, choose something that feels comfortable and still feels like you.

05.

What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?

You’re definitely not expected to show up knowing how to pose.

My goal is for your session to feel relaxed and natural. I’ll guide you when needed while also giving you room to interact, move, laugh, explore, and simply enjoy being together.

Some of the best photographs happen in the moments between the poses.

06.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Outdoor photography sometimes means working around Mother Nature.

Clouds, wind, and even a little drizzle can create beautiful photographs, so sessions aren’t automatically canceled because the forecast isn’t perfect.

If conditions become unsafe or truly unsuitable for photography, we’ll work together to reschedule your session.

07.

When is the best time of day for photos?

For most outdoor sessions, I recommend scheduling around golden hour—the beautiful, softer light shortly after sunrise or before sunset.

The exact timing will depend on the season, location, and landscape.

For adventure locations, we’ll also consider hiking time, accessibility, crowds, and where the sun falls within the landscape.

08.

How long will it take to receive our photographs?

Most portrait galleries will be delivered within approximately 2–3 weeks after your session.

Your photographs are carefully selected and individually edited to create a gallery that feels consistent, polished, and true to the Wild & Wanderlust style.

Special turnaround times may apply for larger sessions, destination experiences, or elopements.

09.

How will we receive our photos?

Your finished photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery.

From there, you’ll be able to view, download, share, and favorite your images from your phone or computer.

Professional prints and keepsake products may also be available directly through your gallery.

10.

How many images will we receive?

The number of photographs depends on the experience you choose.

Current collections include approximately:

The Wander: 25+ images

The Wild Adventure: 50+ images

The Wanderlust Experience: 75+ images

I focus on delivering a thoughtfully curated gallery rather than filling it with repetitive photographs.

11.

Do we receive printing rights?

Yes. Your gallery includes personal printing rights, which means you’re welcome to print and display your photographs for personal use.

For the best color, quality, and longevity, professional prints and products will also be available through your gallery.

Copyright remains with Wild & Wanderlust Photography.

12.

Do you provide RAW or unedited photographs?

No. RAW and unedited images are not delivered.

Editing is an important part of the creative process and helps give your final gallery the consistent style and quality you see throughout my portfolio.

Only finished, professionally edited photographs are delivered.
